Lake Fairlee Ice-Out History
The date of Lake Fairlee ice-out has been tracked by volunteers since 1975. Some lakes call "ice-out" when a brick or other object falls through the ice. On Lake Fairlee the "ice-out" has been called when all ice has melted off of the lake, including the bays.

- Ice-out is generally occurring earlier over time. (see trend line)
- Since 2010, the ice-out date has become more variable. Both the earliest ice out date (March 22) and the latest (May 1 - tied with 1975 & 1978) have occurred since 2010.
